we come from the earth we return to the earth and in between we garden
So I found a pin on Pinterest about a year ago talking about how easy it was to grow your own lemon tree from grocery store lemon seeds, and being the pinterest addict that I am, had to try it out. While preparing the seeds to be planted is a little tricky ( check it out ) , growing them is very easy. They like sun and water. Go figure. They aren't finicky, and if they're not getting enough of either they will let you know by looking droopy and sad. I started one plant last summer and it was doing great.. until I went out of town for almost six weeks and had no kind of plan in place for how my plants would get watered.. and it didn't make it. So this summer I wanted to try it again, and so far they're doing great! I'll admit, I didn't have much hope for the seeds sprouting cause they looked questionable and I wasn't sure I did the whole process right. So I dumped eight or nine seeds into a pretty green vase I had set up on my Buddha statue outside and left it to that. After about a month nothing had happened, and I figured it was a bust. I forgot about them and they just sat outside with Buddha, until little green surprises finally came up almost two months later. After they got a little bigger (and I finally got around to it ) I separated them.
